2-)Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit gave his assent(अनुमति) on Friday to the Bill, which provides 7.5% reservation to students of state government schools in medical courses.
3-)President Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday approved 'The Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining(साथ लगा हुआ) Areas Ordinance, 2020' which provides for the constitution of a Commission for Air Quality Management in National Capital Region (NCR) and adjoining areas.
4-)The Indian Army has launched a secured messaging indigenous(स्वदेशी) application platform named 'Secure Application for the Internet' (SAI). This mobile application for Android will support end-to-end secure voice, text and video calling services. This application is similar to applications like Telegram and WhatsApp.
5-)Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister for Science & Technology, Earth Sciences and Health & Family Welfare today launched a Scheme titled "SERB-POWER (Promoting Opportunities for Women in Exploratory Research)", designed exclusively for women scientists, in a function today on an e-platform.
6-)Telangana Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao has launched the web portal 'Dharani' for land and property registrations.
7-)Vice President, M Venkaiah Naidu has launched the virtual festival of "Parampara Series 2020-National Festival of Music and Dance" organised by Natya Tarangini in partnership with the United Nations. Natya Tarangini has been organising this for the past 23 years.
8-)Former Chief Minister of Gujarat, Keshubhai Savdasbhai Patel passed away. He had served as the Chief Minister of the state for a few months in 1995 and then from March 1998 to October of 2001.
9-)The United Nations General Assembly has designated the 31st of October as World Cities Day.

13-On October 29, 2020, International Coordinating Council (ICC) of UNESCO's (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) Man and the Biosphere (MAB) programme included Panna Biosphere Reserve (Madhya Pradesh) in India, Fuvahmulah Biosphere Reserve (Maldives) and Addu Atoll Biosphere Reserve ( Maldives) to UNESCO's World Network of Biosphere Reserve.

16-प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने हाल ही में अहमदाबाद के केवड़िया में एक जलीय हवाई अड्डे और केवड़िया में स्टैच्यू ऑफ यूनिटी को साबरमती रिवरफ्रंट को जोड़ने के लिए समुद्री विमान सेवा का उद्घाटन किया है. यह आखिरी क्षेत्र तक जलीय हवाई अड्डे बनाने की श्रृंखला का हिस्सा है.

1-)तमिलनाडु राज्य के कृषि मंत्री आर दोरीकन्नु का हाल ही में कोरोनावायरस की वजह से निधन हो गया है. उनके निधन पर तमिलनाडु के राज्यपाल बनवारीलाल पुरोहित ने शोक व्यक्त किया है. आर दोरीकन्नु वर्ष 2006, 2011 और 2016 में तंजावुर जिले के पापनासम से तमिलनाडु विधानसभा के लिए चुने गए थे.
2-) ब्रह्मोस – भारतीय वायुसेना ने हाल ही में सुखोई विमान से ब्रह्मोस मिसाइल का दूसरा सफल परीक्षण किया है. इस परीक्षण में सुखोई एमकेआई-30 विमान ने करीब तीन घंटे की उड़ान के बाद ब्रह्मोस मिसाइल का फायर करके परीक्षण किया. इससे पहले परीक्षण बंगाल के कलाइकुंडा एयरबेस से उड़ान भरकर किया गया था|
3-)इसरो – अमेरिका की अन्तरिक्ष एजेंसी नासा और भारतीय अन्तरिक्ष एजेंसी इसरो द्वारा विकसित किये जा रहे सिंथेटिक अपर्चर रडार (NISAR) सैटेलाइट को वर्ष 2022 में लॉन्च किया जा सकता है यह सिंथेटिक अपर्चर रडार सैटेलाइट विश्व की पहली ऐसी रडार इमेजिंग सैटेलाइट होगी जो एक ही साथ दो फ्रीक्वेंसी का इस्तेमाल करेगी.
4-) माइक्रोसॉफ्ट – दिग्गज आईटी कंपनी माइक्रोसॉफ्ट ने हाल ही में खुफिया जानकारी जुटाने के लिए 100 से ज्यादा हाई प्रोफाइल लोगों पर होने वाले साइबर हमले को सफलतापूर्वक रोक दिया है. माइक्रोसॉफ्ट के थ्रेट इंटेलिजेंस सेंटर ने साइबर हमलावर की गतिविधि को पकड़ा था. इस हमले के तहत थिंक-20 कार्यक्रम में शामिल होने वाले नेताओं या विशेषज्ञों को फर्जी ई-मेल किए जाने थे.
5-)जापान – जापान की शोधकर्ताओं की एक टीम ने प्राचीन उल्कापिंडों के अध्ययन में लाल ग्रह पर करीब 4.4 अरब साल पहले पानी होने का पता लगाया है. वैज्ञानिकों को अध्ययन में पता चल की कई साल पहले सहारा के रेगिस्तान में दो उल्कापिंड मिले थे जिन्हें NWA 7034 और NWA 7533 नाम दिया गया था
6-) इंटरनेशनल डे टू इंड इम्प्युनिटी फॉर क्राइम्स अगेंस्ट जर्नलिस्ट – 2 नवम्बर को विश्वभर में इंटरनेशनल डे टू इंड इम्प्युनिटी फॉर क्राइम्स अगेंस्ट जर्नलिस्ट यानी “पत्रकारों के खिलाफ अपराधों के लिए दण्डमुक्ति समाप्त करने के लिए अंतरराष्ट्रीय दिवसीय” मनाया जाता है. वर्ष 2013 में 68वें अधिवेशन के दौरान संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने यह दिवस मनाने की घोषणा की थी.
7-)चीन – जनसंख्या के लिहाज से विश्व के सबसे बड़े देश चीन ने सातवीं जनगणना का कार्य शुरू कर दिया है. चीन में छठी जनगणना 2010 में हुई थी. जिसके मुताबिक, चीन की आबादी एक अरब 33 करोड़ थी. चीन की सातवीं जनगणना में 70 लाख कर्मचारी घर-घर जाकर जानकारी जुटाएंगे.
8-)Kerala was adjudged(घोषित) the best governed state in the country while Uttar Pradesh ended at the bottom in the large states category, according to the Public Affairs Index-2020 released by the Public Affairs Centre in Bengaluru today. In its annual report released today, the Bengaluru-based not-for-profit organisation, headed by former Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chairman K Kasturirangan, said the states were ranked on governance performance based on a composite index in the context of sustainable development.
9-)The first phase of Malabar Exercise is to be held in Bay of Bengal between November 3, 2020 and November 6, 2020. The navies of India, Japan, US and Australia are to participate in the exercise. The second phase of the exercise is to be held between November 17, 2020 and November 20, 2020.
10-)World Cities Day 2020 is the seventh global celebration since the day was launched on 31 October 2014 in Shanghai, China. Under overarching theme of Better City, Better Life, the aim of the day is to focus the international community's attention on urbanisation as a central issue for development and to encourage cooperation among countries in meeting opportunities and addressing urban challenges towards sustainable development. Each year a different sub-theme is selected, to either promote successes of urbanization, or address specific challenges resulting from urbanization. The sub-theme for this year is Valuing our communities and cities, and the Global Observance will be hosted in Nakuru, Kenya

An impressive march past was also taken out by the State Police on this occasion. 14-)Labour ministry notifies draft rules for the Industrial Relations Code, 2020, paving(पक्की सड़क) way for greater flexibility to employers to retrench(छटनी करना) workers while making it mandatory for unions to give prior notice before a strike 2 November 2020 Current pdf https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jJ92TBiDlVj6ebxdqdtDY6Wt842svNTz/view?usp=sharing 3 November 2020 1-) मेरी सहेली – भारतीय रेलवे ने हाल ही में “मेरी सहेली” पहल के शुरुआत की है. इस “मेरी सहेली” पहल रेलवे सुरक्षा बल (RPF)ने ट्रेन यात्रा के दौरान महिला यात्रियों की सुरक्षा के लिए शुरु की गयी है. इस पहल से ट्रेन के छोटे या लंबे मार्गों से यात्रा करने वाली महिला यात्रियों के बीच सुरक्षा की भावना पैदा होगी. 2-)भव शिखर सम्मेलन – हाल ही में निवासी और प्रवासी भारतीय वैज्ञानिकों/ शिक्षाविदों के लिए अनूठा वैभव शिखर सम्मेलन हाल ही में आयोजित किया गया. जिसमे लगभग 2600 प्रवासी भारतीयों ने शिखर सम्मेलन के लिए ऑनलाइन पंजीकरण किया था. इस सम्मलेन में विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी के नए और उभरते क्षेत्रों में सहयोग की संभावनाओं पर विचार किया गया. 3-)डॉ. जितेंद्र सिंह – केंद्रीय मंत्री डॉ. जितेंद्र सिंह ने हाल ही में जम्मू में मानसर झील विकास योजना का उद्घाटन किया है. साथ ही डॉ. जितेंद्र सिंह ने कहा है की आज का दिन मानसर क्षेत्र के लोगों के लिए ऐतिहासिक है। मानसर झील विकास योजना 70 वर्षों के लंबे इंतजार के बाद आज पूरी हो रही है. 4-)अभय चौधरी – सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की पावर ग्रिड कॉरपोरेशन ऑफ इंडिया ने हाल ही में अभय चौधरी को अपना निदेशक नियुक्त किया है. अभय चौधरी इससे पहले कार्यपालिका निदेशक और सीएमडी समन्वय प्रकोष्ठ के प्रभारी के रूप में कार्य कर चुके है. अभय चौधरी एनआइटी, दुर्गापुर से इलेक्ट्रिकल इंजीनियरिग में ग्रेजुएट हैं. 5-)तीसरी बार – भारत की महिला पहलवान रितु फोगाट ने सिंगापुर में लगातार तीसरी बार मिक्स्ड मार्शल आर्ट्स चैंपियनशिप का खिताब जीता है. उन्होंने तकनीकी नॉकआउट के आधार पर कंबोडिया की नाउ स्रे पोव को दूसरे दौर में ही हराकर यह रिकॉर्ड अपने नाम किया है. महिला पहलवान रितु फोगाट ने राष्ट्रमंडल कुश्ती चैम्पियनशिप 2016 में गोल्ड मेडल जीता था. 6-)27 प्रतिशत – केंद्र सरकार ने हाल ही में ओबीसी को 27 प्रतिशत आरक्षण देने की घोषणा की है. यह आरक्षण नीति शैक्षणिक सत्र 2021-22 से लागू होगी. सरकार के मुताबिक, प्रत्येक सूची में 15 प्रतिशत सीटें अनुसूचित जाति के लिए आरक्षित हैं. जबकि 7.5 प्रतिशत सीटें अनुसूचित जनजाति के लिए हैं. 7-)पाकिस्तान – भारत ने पाकिस्तान के गिलगिट-बाल्टिस्तान को प्रांतीय दर्जा देने के किस देश के फैसले को खारिज कर दिया है. गिलगित-बाल्टिस्तान जम्मू-कश्मीर के उत्तर-पश्चिमी में स्थित अत्यधिक ऊँचाई वाला एक पहाड़ी क्षेत्र है जो की जम्मू और कश्मीर की पूर्ववर्ती रियासत का एक हिस्सा था. 8-)ग्रीस – भारत के विदेश मंत्री, एस. जयशंकर और ग्रीस के विदेश मंत्री निकोस डेंडियास के बीच व्यापार और प्रौद्योगिकी में आपसी सहयोग को बढ़ावा देने के तरीकों पर द्विपक्षीय वार्ता हुई है. साथ ही दोनों देश के मंत्रियों ने प्रौद्योगिकी, वाणिज्य और संस्कृति पर सहयोग बढ़ाकर इन दोनों देशों की ऐतिहासिक मित्रता के निर्माण पर चर्चा की है. 9-)Veteran Politician and former prime minister of Turkey, Mesut Yilmaz has passed away. 10-)In Madhya Pradesh, the Panna Tiger Reserve has been included in the 'World Network of Biosphere Reserves' list of the UNESCO. This is the 12th biosphere reserve from India to be included in the 'World Network of Biosphere Reserves', and third from Madhya Pradesh, after Pachmarhi and Amarkantak. Currently, Panna Tiger Reserve is home to 54 tigers. 10-)Indian boxers Amit Panghal, Sanjeet and Ashish Kumar have won gold medals at the recently concluded Alexis Valentine International Boxing Tournament held in Nantes, France. The tournament was the first international event that Indian boxers were a part of since the lockdown. 11-)In West Bengal, Kolkata will soon feature India's first "Tyre Park", where artworks made from scrap and defective parts will be on display. The West Bengal Transport Corporation will launch this Tyre Park. 12-)Noted Malayalam writer, Paul Zacharia has been selected for this year's Ezhuthachan Puraskaram, the Kerala government's highest literary honour. Zacharia was chosen for his contribution to Malayalam literature during the past five decades. प्रसिद्ध मलयालम लेखक, पॉल ज़ाचेरिया को इस वर्ष के Ezhuthachan Puraskaram, केरल सरकार के सर्वोच्च साहित्यिक सम्मान के लिए चुना गया है। पिछले पांच दशकों के दौरान जकारिया को मलयालम साहित्य में उनके योगदान के लिए चुना गया था।
